A significant housing deficit - over 60% of the population resides in rural areas that lack access to quality housing, worsened by challenges like earthquakes, flash floods and the vulnerability of traditional rural shelter to extreme weather changes. Additionally, inadequate infrastructure, such as unpaved roads, unreliable or complete lack of electricity, and no access to water or sanitation, further hinders rural development.

Recognizing the need, BFCUSA has prioritized rural housing development, solar power and water pumps to help construct affordable homes. This development is impacting many impoverished families.

Your donation can make a big difference. Every contribution helps to transform the lives of families in rural communities.  Your generosity contributes to the fabrication of a new home materials like cement, sand, and roof tiles, windows and doors, and labor costs. 

BFC USA is working tirelessly to address the rural housing crisis. Our volunteers collaborate with experienced experts in building houses and implementing comprehensive development programs in affected communities. Many of these initiatives focus on empowering local populations to participate in the planning and execution of housing projects. Utilizing sustainable climate-resilient building techniques and materials to ensure long-term durability and safety, and combining housing with other essential services like water, sanitation, education, and healthcare.
